YOGAMAZÉ is a rare yoga school, with an enduring dedication to the pursuit of educational excellence, offering unparalleled student experiences across a broad spectrum of yoga academia and experiential education. Our trainings are informative, ever improving and customized to each group of students’ needs and goals. We emphasize logical analysis, clear language, and critical thinking.

YOGAMAZÉ 200-hour teacher trainings take you on a journey of self-discovery and education into all things yoga. Our foundational training (200–hour) program is ideal for serious students of yoga, aspiring yoga teachers, and teachers with varying levels of experience. Students with injuries and health issues are also encouraged to attend. Our curriculum combines detailed alignment and intelligent sequencing with vinyasa theory, and provides you with sound knowledge and skills to teach safe and effective yoga classes. This training is recognized by Yoga Alliance and focuses in three areas of study: The Theory and Practice of Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, and The Art of Teaching. Trainees may thus register with Yoga Alliance at its RYT-200 level upon successful completion of this training.

In this training, you will study and deconstruct asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breath work), meditation, applied anatomy, therapeutics, yoga theory & practice, yoga history & philosophy, basic Sanskrit, ethics & boundaries, and you will master the skills required to teach. With great precision and clarity, your trainer will cover the primary tools needed to teach yoga to others. In addition to studying the fundamental yoga postures, topics will include:

  • How to improve your own yoga practice
  • How to teach a yoga pose
  • Actions and alignment

This training will be held at Villa Pura Damai Santhi, in Bali, which is centrally located, 10 minutes outside of Ubud, Bali. A vibrant expat community, the town of Ubud is well known for its deeply Balinese Hindu culture, the warmth of its people dedicated to healing and renewal.

Our yoga studio boasts floor to ceiling windows, which look onto a beautiful infinity pool and luscious Balinese foliage. Villa Pura Damai Santhi is an inspiring environment for the nourishment of body, mind and soul.

A daily vegetarian lunch is included in this training. Airfare and lodging are not included in the tuition price; however, Bali living is very inexpensive. There are many budget-friendly accommodations near the training site, and most lodging options provide breakfast. We can recommend lodging options for all budgets, including hotels, private rentals, homestays and more. Please feel free to contact us for a more detailed list of accommodation options. Please also feel free to be in touch with Amy Petty via email, as she is very knowledgeable about the location and can help steer you in the right direction.

Bali is a wonderful place for kids and families so feel free to bring the family along! We can help you find activities and/or babysitters for the little ones.

“ I would highly recommend the YOGAMAZÉ 200 hour teacher training because it’s not just about learning to teach yoga poses. It’s learning about yourself. It’s about individual growth. That’s why I chose to study with YOGAMAZÉ. Through this training I’ve become much more observant and gained awareness and understanding of what the poses do for our bodies. I joined the program to deepen my knowledge, but it has also been about evolvement in my own being. It’s been scary, exciting, very emotional and wonderful for me.”—Laura Wang, San Marino CA

“ I came into this program knowing very little and as we progressed through the modules and online discussions, I noticed that I developed good and strong habits that have affected more than just my teaching yoga. This training has deepend my own practice and my understanding of the poses as well as of the history and discipline surrounding yoga. The program has introduced me to a new community of people and I have made friends and family as we have struggled, learned and prevailed together. ” —Nicholas Trubachick, Estacada OR
